Family Solicitor / Legal Executive

Are you a Family Lawyer looking for a change?

What you will be doing?
  • Managing a mixed caseload of Legal Aid and Private Family Matters
  • Dealing with matters from the first meeting to the final hearing
  • Covering the following areas of family law:
  • Divorce
  • Financial Proceedings
  • Public Law Proceedings
  • Children Disputes
  • Domestic Violence
  • What skills and attributes do you need?
  • Technical competence
  • 4-7 years PQE (or similar experience as a Legal Executive)
  • Good client manner
  • Commitment to teamwork
  • Dedication to excellent service
  • IT Skills including Microsoft Office
  • Time management
  • Initiative
  • Ambition

  • Shentons have a legal aid contract for family work and so experience in this type of work is desirable, but not essential. Shentons promote ADR and any experience in mediation is also welcome.

    Salary: £26,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

    Family Paralegal

    Probate Assistant

  • You will be assisting the Team to work on files in respect of Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Probate, and with the administration of estates after the client has passed away. You will triage new enquiries on behalf of the fee earners in the Team.
