Most Trusts are not taxed very favourably and we can give you some general advice as to whether the Trust route is right for you, although you will likely need an accountant’s advice also. The Trust route may be right for you if you want to provide for education for your grandchildren, benefit a vulnerable or disabled beneficiary or ringfence funds for a future generation.
We can also help you understand existing trusts, retire and appoint Trustees and help you wind up a Trust.
Our Wills and Probate Department are a member of the Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme and some of our Lawyers have additional, professional qualifications with STEP, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners which enables them to give specialist advice, bespoke to your matter.

10 months agoI was involved in criminal case over the course of 4 years, my original solicitor two years into my case then let me down due to conflict of interest, I was then given Shenton’s number. They took my case on and ended up being miles better than my previous solicitor Everyone was so helpful, easy to get hold of, everything was explained to me really well, The matter in hand was rather sensitive to myself and it was a tough defence, and I felt very supported by all staff involved in my case. Shentons behind the scenes sourced independent people in to help with my defence, I found confident throughout my court case with shentons, I was confident that they would complete all tasks needed and didn’t need to worry about anything with shentons, they gave me peace of mind.
