Since joining the Shentons Professional Support team in 2015, I've had the opportunity to witness every phase of our clients' legal journeys. I take pride in being part of this process, first in my role at Reception and now transitioning into Accounts. Whether it's a complex family dispute, a contentious property transaction, or a criminal charge, each individual who walks through our doors carries a unique burden. After all its not often that you need a solicitor for a good reason.
When clients reach out—whether through email, phone, website contact forms, or by visiting Reception—we are dedicated to ensuring that they get the support they need. Of course, in the main, we forward clients through to the lawyers but on Reception, there are other ways that we ensure that our service goes above and beyond.
From little touches like having a colouring and sticker pack ready for young children attending with their parents for an appointment, to being a listening ear to clients who arrive in tears and need a cup of tea and a few kind words before their meeting. We always strive to treat each client as an individual and provide them with the support that they need.
For some elderly clients visiting Reception, we understand that we may be the first person they've spoken to in days. Often, they are in our office managing their spouse's estate and taking a few moments to engage in conversation can be incredibly valuable.
